Our Native Black Cottonwood trees are collected from various northwestern states. We have limited amounts available, so orders will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
About Cottonwood Trees: Cottonwood trees are named for the seeds with cottony hair that float through the air like summer snow. Also known as Balsam Cottonwood, Western Balsam Poplar.
Habitat: Moist silts, sands, and gravels
Description: The largest western hardwood, up to 160 feet. Black cottonwoods are hardy, straight trunked, and fast growing if have ample moisture and plenty of nutrients.
Uses: lumber, veneer, pulp
